About the Job
General Purpose
Responsible for tracking and resolving outstanding payment and customer issues.
Analyze and improve current processes, as well as provide general support for the Accounts Receivable/Credit and Collections Department.Essential functions
Conduct account research and analysis
Make daily collection calls
Interact with customers to resolve outstanding issues
Apply logic and reasoning to help improve processes
Identify and execute the necessary process adjustments
Prepare and maintain various reports
Maintain an accurate aging report
Send statements to outstanding customers
Process ACH/Lockbox payments
Reconcile accounts receivable to the general ledger
Assist with month end journal entry postings
Additional assignments as required by the need of the business.
Education and Experience
Two-year degree or higher (preferred)
3 years Accounts Receivable and Collection experience (preferred)
SAP or equivalent software (required)
MS Excel experience (required)
Key Competencies
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Process oriented and resourceful with ability to improve current procedures
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Working knowledge of basic accounting functions to support receivable applications
Critical thinking and attention to detail
Ability and willingness to handle detail-oriented work accurately and efficiently
Ability to understand profit center and business area functions as it pertains to the allocation of revenue
Maintain all communications with confidentiality

the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
licensure and certification requirements;
office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure
The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
