Job Description:
Join our team in Indianapolis, and/or South Bend, IN as a Project Architect or Architectural Associate. You will have the opportunity to work on complex projects, exercise your professional judgment, and contribute to delivering exceptional architectural solutions.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Independently perform architectural and design assignments that require specialized technical expertise, exercising professional judgment.
- Take on projects of moderate complexity and potentially lead less experienced staff.
- Assume lead roles in specific segments of a project and coordinate work with specialty groups.
- Provide support to more experienced personnel or work with general guidance and supervision.
- Plan and lead preliminary studies, establish design criteria, and develop design concepts.
- Produce graphic and written material for major project segments.
- Direct architectural support staff in developing detailed design and construction documents.
- Coordinate architectural efforts with engineering groups, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Develop concepts and approaches to solve complex architectural problems.
- Conduct studies on new architectural methods, codes, processes, and materials.
- Review and recommend action on client change orders and obtain necessary approvals.
- Manage construction contract administration, including bid analysis, contract awards, change orders, and payment requests.
- Assist in preparing project management forms and regulations.
- Ensure work is performed safely and represent the company positively.
- Fulfill other assigned duties as required.
Job Requirements:
- Must hold an (NAAB) accredited professional degree in Architecture
- Completed or in process of completing NCARB Intern Development Program or enrolled in EAXP program.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in institutional building design.
- Proficiency in AutoDesk Revit®, Microsoft Office® Suite.
- Experience in Adobe Photoshop and AutoCAD preferred.
- Strong oral and written presentation skills
- Strong technical skills
- Ability to visit and navigate construction sites safely.
