A DAY IN THE LIFE AS AN ARCHITECTURAL PROJECT MANAGER/BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
As an Architectural Business Developer, you collaborate with your team to develop projects from start to finish. You see projects through from the programming/conceptual design phase to the completion of the construction administration. Your attention to detail is essential as you prepare construction documents. With your great communication skills, you coordinate with consultants, contractors, owners, and team members to ensure that our projects are successful. It is exciting to see your projects come to life!
In addition to documenting code review and compliance, you review shop drawings and project submittals for compliance. As an architect, you love that each day is an opportunity to use your creative mind and help our community grow through business development.

- Ability to interact with Clients (ISD, Municipal, County) and subconsultants.
- Ability to manage and mentor team.
- Assists with the QA/QC process.
Typical tasks to be performed include:
- Project administration, scheduling and coordination.
- Interaction with Client and subconsultants.
- Utilize staff to develop plans, details and Opinions of Probable Costs.
- Mentor and train staff.
- Exhibiting a keen interest in a high standard of quality and accuracy.
- Visiting construction sites to observe progress and conformance to plans and specifications.
- Client relationship management experience.
- Collaborate with Parkhill’s Marketing Department to improve existing marketing materials to present to potential clients.
- Adjust priorities when appropriate and perform other duties assigned to meet sector goals.
- Be a Trusted Advisor for clients in resolving issues that arise.
- Drive increased revenue and profit to achieve Parkhill`s ambitious growth targets.
- Develop and maintain relationships with target prospects.
- Assist the marketing team to develop proposals and respond to RFP’s.
- Civic involvement on local, regional and state, focused boards and commissions is preferred.
- Develop and mentor upcoming professionals.
- Exhibiting a keen interest in a high standard of quality and accuracy.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Registered Architect in the state of Texas or eligible to achieve through reciprocity.
- At least 10 years of architecture design experience in municipal projects.
- Proficiency in Revit Architecture, Microsoft Word & Excel, Bluebeam, and Sketchup.
- Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management Software systems.
- 15+ years of previous municipal design experience is preferred.
