Architectural Designer - Spherion

Spherion Staffing is looking in Sioux Falls, Mitchell or Pierre, SD for an experienced Architectural Designer. The Architectural Designer will work closely with architects and other team members to develop and execute design concepts for a variety of projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail, excellent technical skills, and the ability to contribute creative ideas to the design process.

Salary $65-85k/year DOE

Responsibilities:
Design Development:
-Assist in the creation of design concepts and layouts for buildings and structures
-Develop preliminary sketches and detailed drawings using Revit software
-Participate in client meetings to understand project requirements and goals

Technical Drafting:
-Produce detailed architectural drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and construction details
-Ensure that all drawings comply with building codes, regulations, and standards

Project Coordination:
-Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate technical solutions into the design
-Review and revise designs based on feedback from clients and project team members
-Assist in the preparation of project documentation and presentations

Site Analysis and Research:
-Conduct site visits and surveys to gather information on existing conditions
-Research materials, building systems, and construction techniques to support design solutions

3D Modeling and Visualization:
-Create 3D models and renderings to visualize design concepts
-Use rendering software to produce high-quality images for client presentations and marketing materials

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
-2 years minimum degree in architecture design
-Must be creative, dependable, detail-oriented, consistent, and excited to work with a team
-Experience writing specifications or willingness to learn
-Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and construction methods
-Excellent communication and teamwork skills
-Creative problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
-Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
