Job Title: Architectural Lighting Field Specialist
Position Type: Full Time - Hourly, Non-Exempt

Job Summary: Talented and experienced Architectural Lighting Field Technician who has a strong background in on-site project coordination, problem resolution, testing, programming, aiming, customer demonstration and handover for successful implementation of innovative and sustainable lighting solutions for a variety of architectural projects while working closely with architects, interior designers, engineers and construction team. The position is in-office located in North Miami with 50% local area travel.
Responsibilities:
- Project light fixture installation coordination, problem resolution & reporting.
- Project light fixture initial testing, programming, aiming, customer demonstration, handover coordination and reporting.
- Project site meeting coordination with external key stakeholder project managers and construction team.
- Project kickoff meeting coordination with the lighting department and other company departments (Project Management, Engineering, Sales).
- Project light fixture purchase order management, tracking, warehouse order staging coordination and job site deliveries.
- Project work order & task creation, review and reporting.
- Project change order creation.
- Project return merchandise authorization (RMA) processing.
- Assisting Acoustic Architects field engineering team with troubleshooting and assisting external contractors with field questions relating to lighting controls.
- Sales support in upselling of additional accessories on projects plus attending meetings with General Contractors to facilitate the sales closing.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience directly managing lighting projects in commercial & residential environments from design through to construction completion.
- Minimum of 3 years of sales, lighting design or construction experience with light fixtures and controls.
- Excellent written & verbal skills.
- Ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree or other in Lighting Design, Engineering, or related field a plus.
- Lighting control knowledge.
- Architectural lighting fixture sales experience.
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this role, the team member is frequently required to stand, walk, talk and hear- possibly for prolonged periods at a time and safely use a ladder
- The team member frequently is required to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
- The team member is occasionally required to climb or balance; and occasionally to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The team member must regularly lift and/or move up to 60 lbs in heavy boxes etc.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
