Gray AE is looking to add an Architectural Tech III in our Fullerton, CA office.

Who we want… (Requirements)

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a degree from a technical college and one to two (1-2) years of experience; or the equivalent combination both
• Experience designing in Revit is highly preferred and experience producing architectural drawings is required.
• Basic computer skills including the ability to utilize word processing, spreadsheets, design software and e-mail.
• Physically present in the office.

What we expect… (Essential Functions)

• Prepares architectural plans as directed by design managers and assists design managers in construction administration activities.
• Assists with layout of project and integrates engineering elements into unified design for customer review and approval.
• Prepares scale drawings and contract documents for customers, construction personnel, sub-consultants, and design-build subcontractors.
• May assist design managers in administration, review, and coordination of project submittals.
• May periodically assist design managers in conducting on-site observation of work during construction to monitor compliance with plans.
• Prepares studies and reports.
• Prepares project designs and plans using computer assisted design software and equipment.

The wage range for this role takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; certifications; as well as other business and organizational needs.  The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.  It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  A reasonable estimate of the current range is $38.00 to $52.00 per hour.

Frequently in a normal office environment where noise level is moderate and temperature/humidity is controlled.  Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and outside weather conditions.  May be exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold and/or heat, risk of electrical shock, explosives and vibrations.  Noise level on the job site is normally moderate to loud.   Overtime will be required.  Some travel will be required.
