Architecture Co-Op Student Spring 2025 - ZGF Architects

ZGF is seeking an Architecture Co-Op student to join our team in the New York office. We are looking for creative, motivated and curious design talent with a passion for architecture and the built environment. We are offering a position within the Architectural Group for an individual who will work under the direction of experienced professional design staff on a diverse range of project opportunities. If you have a passion and a desire to exercise your design skills, we are interested in talking with you. 

The current hourly rate for this position is $26.00/hour.

As an Architectural Co-Op Student, you will…

• Be part of a community focused on design excellence and innovation
• Collaborate with the design team on generating and developing design ideas
• Learn and work under the direction of mid and senior design staff to help bring those design ideas to life
• Aid in the preparing of presentation materials, producing digital and physical models, and production of construction documents
• Work with team members from concept design through construction administration
• Deepen your fundamentals and skills working on a spectrum of projects throughout the internship

Qualifications:

• Professional experience is beneficial but not required – creativity and curiosity are required.
• Architectural ability in the design of buildings (inside and out) and sites.
• Previous experience with the production of design documentation would be valuable.
• A basic understanding of architectural design and construction principles.
• Knowledge of Revit, Rhino, Sketch-Up, and Adobe Suite is valued, but not required.
• What we do is all about design – having good communication, and graphic skills along with physical and digital modeling and rendering ability are desired.
• Applicants should be enrolled in a professional Architectural or Interior Design degree program.

Additional Information:

• We are located in the Flatiron District of Manhattan, easily accessible via 7 subway lines
• Office hours are 8:30-5:30
• We are looking for a January - June co-op period
• All seasonal interns and co-op students receive training and support for a variety of design tools and software to equip them for assistance with day to day tasks
• Preference will be given to students with or working toward a degree in architecture
