Responsibilities:
We have an outstanding opportunity for an experienced professional based in the North East Region. The Architecture and Design (A&D) Specification Specialist is responsible for lead generation, A&D customer development/leadership and ultimately gaining REHAU windows specifications within the assigned geographic area. The incumbent is accountable for meeting and exceeding sales targets. The A&D Specifications Specialist will be part of a dynamic team driving REHAU windows specifications. The successful candidate will spend the majority of their time in New York and Boston areas. In addition, region responsibility will include Baltimore, Philadelphia and Washington DC. Travel amount is dependent on location of home office.
Specific responsibilities of the A&D Specification Specialist include:
- Maintain an active opportunity pipeline through weekly A&D visits
- Conduct monthly product knowledge classes on REHAU Windows to ASID and A&D firms (AIA level), promote and organize lunch and learn lessons.
- Input opportunities into Salesforce.com to manage projects and keep data up-to-date so the Sales Director can accurately communicate monthly forecasts of expected sales volume by product line. Create and track KPIs (conversion ratios…).
- As a product expert, serve as an integral part of the sales team by supporting REHAU fabricator specification reps, Account Managers, Marketing Managers and the VP of the division.
- Interact with local fabricators to facilitate project tracking and execution of A&D initiatives
- Lead the development, execution and communication of A&D account strategy
- Manage the necessary coordination with the design takeoff and final deliverable of a specification within the A&D firm
- Maintain and increase product knowledge to remain current in the industry and market
- Create a sales strategy and marketing support for the business plans of key A&D firms within the region
- Influence the criteria that A&D firms use for the selection of product to be specified and respond to technical questions concerning product application
- Collaborate with A&D firms on client visits to enhance the customer experience
- Meet and exceed sales targets
Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent level of experience
- Five or more years of successful contract/material selling experience in the A&D community
- Proven ability to network and build relationships with key A&D influencers and local organizations
- Experience in the Windows and Doors industry preferred
- Team player who works well individually, as well as part of a team
- Excellent work ethic, self-motivated and driven
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs with an emphasis on PowerPoint
- Knowledge of salesforce.com a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to travel in support of business objectives and work remotely
A candidate’s final salary offer will be based on his or her skills, education, experience and geographic location. Total compensation may also include bonuses consistent with REHAU’s corporate bonus plan.
