Overview:We are looking for an RN Area Administrator to join our team. This position will directly report to the Vice President of Operations or designee within a specific state/region and will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of assigned Hospice program/site(s) and is appointed by the Governing body.
- Plans, organizes, directs, and evaluates services of Hospice at assigned location(s).
- Oversees the coordination of admission of patients to Hospice Services in a smooth, systematic process, as well as arranging for ancillary services so that they are complimentary and non-duplicative.
- Oversees the direction, supervision, and evaluation of hospice personnel and volunteers and the coordination of services of all team members of the multi-teamed site(s).
- Provides authoritative, professional, and administrative control of all multiple location sites
- Responsible for ongoing communication with the Governing Body and Interdisciplinary Group/Agency Staff
- Registered Nurse with minimum of associate degree in nursing; bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing preferred; master’s degree in business, nursing, or related field preferred
- Three to Five years healthcare sales/management experience preferred
- Minimum one year management/supervisory experience
- Two or more years’ experience in hospice/home care (if also functioning as the Clinical Nurse Supervisor for the provider)
- Meets all state-specific requirements for the Administrator role
- Three years’ experience in direct patient care in a clinical setting preferred
- Current license to practice nursing in the state of requested employment, if applicable
- CPR Certification
