Area Manager Castaway Bay at Cedar Point

The Area Manager at Castaway Bay is responsible for maintaining guest service standards within all operations of the hotel as the Manager on Duty during second shift. The responsibilities include daily communication with the front office, housekeeping and food and beverage managers.

-Assists in developing standard operating procedures for all hotel departments and ensuring the adherence to those SOPs.
-Provides leadership and training to the supervision team utilizing strong interpersonal and communication skills.
-Ensures proper staffing of all areas based on forecasted occupancy and budget.
-Communicates with other park divisions as needed, which will include verifying that all scheduled appearances by characters and live entertainment are kept and notify staff of any changes.
-Coordinates with park operations and aquatics on waterpark operation.
-Utilizes strong communication and interpersonal skills with their associates in regard to any changes to hotel or park policy that may impact the operation.
-Ensures that all departmental logs and reports are completed and sent daily to the appropriate people.
-Maintains accurate attendance and performance records as well as provide appropriate coaching and counseling to associates when needed.
