Title: Area Manager
Location: 400 Smoketree Plaza, North Aurora, IL 60542
Hours: 5pm-3:30am CST
Role Description:
As ShipBob's Area Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and developing a team of associates in our fulfillment center. You'll be heavily involved in driving process improvement, maintaining a safe work environment, and tracking performance/employee engagement. As an Area Manager, you will oversee all associates and leads.
What you'll do:
- Review the weekly work forecasts and identify productivity requirements to produce during the day to meet the overall building objectives.
- Partner with other new Area Managers to balance labor ensuring we are operating a balanced and efficient shift while meeting all your goals.
- Support all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all associates.
- Proactively identify and run process improvement initiatives and Lean tools.
- Manage a team of warehouse associates to fulfill the ShipBob mission of assisting our clients in growing their online success by delighting their customers, on a daily basis.
- Responsible for ensuring teams are properly trained, and that their needs are addressed so they can focus on their jobs.
- Comply to all food safety and compliance policies and regulations.
- Additional duties and responsibilities as necessary.
What you'll bring to the table:
- 2+ years of leadership experience.
- Degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, General Management or a related field, preferred.
- Established track record of taking ownership and delivering results.
- Basic understanding of Lean and Six Sigma.

ShipBob believes in transparency while providing a competitive total compensation package with a pay for performance approach. We are targeting a salary range of $47,829 - $78,169 for this role. The full base pay range for this position in our compensation architecture is $47,829 - $79,716.
