About the Job
Reporting to a District Manager, the ideal candidate is a results oriented, business driven leader in the Cole Haan organization. This position assists in the implementation of objectives and management of a small group of retail stores within an area. This includes primary focuses of ensuring the company's achievement of sales, profit and other related business goals. This job can be located in the greater Los Angeles, CA region.
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
* Oversees the success of an area of 3 to 6 store locations, which is part of a larger district
* Identify and develop, with district management, plans to achieve/exceed area sales goals, performance metrics, and profit through follow through on company strategies and business objectives
* Create and reinforce a customer obsessed culture by continually identifying and meeting customer needs, anticipating changes, and preparing store managers to meet consumer challenges.
* Achieves and exceed all objectives regarding financial, expense control, loss prevention, projects and store contribution.
* Monitors and maintain compliance of all policies and procedures.
* Consistent flow of communication with District Manager on business opportunities, which identifying solutions.
* Analyzes area/market trends with merchandising to ensure an effective strategy exists that drives sales revenue opportunities and achieves visual merchandising standards.
* Ensure the execution and maintenance of visual merchandising standards and directives.
* As assigned by the District Manager, owns projects, or has ownership of key components of projects or workload within the greater district, for example operations, visual, or talent related activities.
* Create positive employee relations through building, developing, and leading quality store management teams.
* Maintains area strategies, consistent with district strategies, for recruitment, retention, and succession planning.
* Ensures on-going specific and immediate coaching and feedback, and delivery of all performance documentation in timely manner.
* Builds strong cross functional partnership through timely and thorough communication (HR, Visual, Allocation, Operations, Marketing, PR, etc.)
* Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or a related field.
* 5 years of individual retail store management experience
* Prior experience in a high volume, retail multi-store environment, where multiple locations were supported or managed is preferred
* Retail Operations knowledge including sales, customer service, merchandising, inventory control, store budget preparation and loss prevention.
* Strong Computer skills: POS Systems and Microsoft Office.
* Staff Development Experience: Knowledge in staffing, coaching, counseling, training and development.
* May require travel for 50-75% of the time, or greater
* Please note this position may be based in the greater Los Angeles, CA region.
* Annual compensation from $100,000 up to $125,000 based on qualifications and relevant experience.
