Responsibilities:Position Summary:
Personnel assigned on shifts to carry out planned activities of the security program as well as any authorized duties relating to emergency management functions.
Qualifications:Minimum:
- Minimum of one (1) year experience as a security officer involving extensive public contact
- High School Diploma/GED
- DRV LIC = Poses a valid State Driver's License or have the ability to obtain prior to hire date
- CT CCW = Certified to Carry Concealed Weapon or applicable state license.; Must have a current CCW if required or able to produce proof of application awaiting their approved CCW hard card
- Ability to comprehend and follow instructions & maintain attention and concentration for necessary periods
- Synthesize coordinate and analyze data perform simple and repetitive tasks
- Maintain a work pace appropriate to given workload & perform complex and varied tasks
- Relate to other people beyond giving and receiving instructions & get along with co-workers and peers
- Understand the meaning of words and how to use them appropriately and effectively & understand and remember detailed instructions
- Make independent decisions or exercise judgment based on appropriate information & accept and carry out responsibility for direction control and planning
- Knowledge of Life Safety TJC CMS and OSHA regulations and standards
- Workplace violence training within 6 months of employment
- Completion of NIMS compliant ICS 100HCb 200b & 700a courses
- CPR BLS = Basic Life Support (AHA) Certification within 90 days of employment.
- International Association of Healthcare Security Services (IAHSS) preferred Basic course within 90 days of employment and IAHSS Advanced course within six months of employment.
