Armed Security Officer - Security - UAB St. Vincent's

• Schedule: PRN Evening Shift, 3p.m. to 11p.m
• Hospital: St. Vincent's Birmingham
• Location: Birmingham, AL

2 years of Armed experience

Provide security services to ensure a safe environment for staff and visitors.

• Perform proactive monitoring of and timely responses to potential/actual security threats.
• Investigate, document and manage security incidents and hazards.
• Maintain knowledge/follows policies and procedures regarding alarms and emergency/disaster preparedness plans. May facilitate planned drills and simulations.
• Provide information and assistance to staff and visitors to promote safety.

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• In state (Alabama) concealed carry weapons permit required.

One or more of the following are preferred:

• Drivers License credentialed from the Alabama Department of Motor Vehicles.
• Security Professional.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

No 2 years of Armed experience, law enforcement, security, or military experience is preferred.preferences.
