We are looking for an Army System Engineer to join our team in supporting the Army Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office (RCCTO) Human Machine Integrated Formations (HMIF) Project Office (PO).
The HMIF PO will collaboratively develop two complex HMIF formations, one integrated formation for an Armor BCT and one formation for an Infantry BCT within 27 months. This Systems Engineer will collaborate with system users, requirements owners, and developmental contractors to translate operational requirements into systems, hardware, and software requirements to support the prototyping of the HMIF Armor and Infantry BCT formations.
Your day-to-day work will include:
- HMIF working level SE success.
- Working / interfacing with and support DOTmLPF-P stakeholders across the HMI enterprise.
- Analysis of Alternatives.
- Documentation, tracking, and maintaining configuration management using Digital Environments (DE) and included engineering tools.
- Requirements development and decomposition starting with Mission Engineering and progressing through system of systems and system level performance specification development.
- Risks, Issues, and Opportunities identification, exploitation, and mitigation.
- Planning, coordinating, scheduling, directing, and controlling engineering and technical support activities applicable to systems development and capability integration.
- Providing integrated, multi-disciplinary solution recommendations for resolution of technical problems.
- Acquisition contract documentation development
- i.e., Statement of Objective, and Statements of Work.
- Participating in the development and execution of test strategies.
- Leading and working on multi-functional/multi-disciplinary teams.
At a minimum you should have the following:
- Active Secret Clearance with the ability to maintain.
- A bachelor's degree in a STEM field and 10-15 years of relevant experience.
- Hands-on experience applying systems engineering and integration principles across both hardware and software systems.
- Expertise with DoD acquisition process, authoring DoD acquisition documentation including systems engineering plans, and Performance Based Specifications.
- Expertise and understanding of engineering across range of Engineering disciplines.
- Familiarity and functional execution of engineering tools typically included in DE.
- Integration testing of systems of systems.
- Development of Statement of Objective, Statements of Work and associated performance specifications.
You will be highly desirable if you have:
- Recent engineering experience with military platforms, teleoperations, autonomy, EO/IR and C4ISR systems and the associated hardware and software.
- Familiarity with DoD 5000 acquisition lifecycle processes.
- Superior writing skill inclusive of developing technical system-level specifications.
- Excellent communications skills including the ability to generate and deliver focused briefings on complex topics to senior leaders.
- 10 plus years of hands-on experience applying SE principles. Fewer years of experience will be considered based on complexity and success of the experience.
- Experience in DoD acquisition programs. Army experience preferred.
- Experience with evaluating projects using different methods and options to determine the most cost-effective solution that meets the required specifications.
- Experience in the skills and responsibilities described above

Estimated Salary: $115,000 - $140,000
The provided salary range serves as a broad reference. However, Intrepid takes various factors into account when establishing base salary offers, including the position's scope and responsibilities, as well as the candidate's experience, education, skills, and prevailing market conditions.
