Sierra Cybernetics is seeking an AI Developer to support our Los Angeles Superior Court (LASC) government client.
The duration of the engagement is at least 12 months.
US citizensorgreencardholdersonly. Nosponsoredcandidates.
This is a remote position with possible travel to the Court in downtown LA or to other courts or conferences on rare occasions.
Candidatemustbewillingtoconsiderfull- time employment with the Court after 12 months.
ProjectOverview: The Court is undertaking innovative projects aimed at integrating generative AI and AI-driven document processing technologies into our existing business processing. This may expand to building AI applications that interact with our case management system (Odyssey and eCourt).
EssentialQualifications:
- Bachelor’sdegreeinComputerScience,ArtificialIntelligence,MachineLearning,orrelated field.
- Minimumof3yearsofexperienceinAIdevelopment,specificallywithastrongbackgroundin generative AI models and natural language processing.
- ProficientinC#,withexperienceintegratingAItechnologiesintoexistingC#applications.
- ExperiencewithAIframeworksandlibraries(e.g.,TensorFlow,PyTorch,AzureOpenAI) suitable for C# environments.
- DemonstrableexperienceindevelopinganddeployingAIsolutionsfordocumentanalysisand processing.
- Familiaritywithcloudservices(AWS,Azure,GoogleCloud)usedfordeployingAIsolutions.
- Solidunderstandingofdatastructures,datamodeling,andsoftwarearchitecture.
- Abilitytoworkinafast-paced,team-orientedenvironment.
- Expertise in designing and implementing pluggable architecture using reflection, dependency injectionframeworks,ormodularframeworks(e.g.,MEF,Autofac)forscalableandextensible software solutions.
DesirableQualifications:
- Master’sdegreeorPh.D.degreeinComputerScience,SoftwareEngineering,orarelatedfield.
- ExperiencewithlocalLargeLanguageModelsandimplementationinlegaldocumentanalysis.
- KnowledgeofOdysseyandeCourtcasemanagement systems.
- Experienceinthelegalsector,particularlywithlegaldocumentsorlegalenvironments.
- KnowledgeofethicalAIuseandconsiderationsspecifictopublicserviceandlegal applications.
- Previousexperienceworkingongovernmentcontractsorprojects.
- Strongproblem-solvingskillsandinnovativethinking.
- Excellentcommunicationskills,toexplaincomplexAIconceptstonon-technicalstakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Design,develop,andimplement AImodels,especiallyintegratedwithinC#applications,tailored to the needs of the Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles.
- Collaboratewithcross-functionalteamstointegrateAIsolutionsintoOdysseyandeCourtcase management systems.
- ConductthoroughtestingandvalidationofAItechnologiestoensurecompliancewithlegaland ethical standards.
- Providetechnicalguidanceandtrainingtootherteammembers.
- ContinuouslystayupdatedonthelatestAItechnologiesthatcanbenefitthecourtsystem.
