Environmental Science DSC Members (positions below)
The Environmental Science Department Student Council (ENSC DSC) is recruiting passionate students to fill several key positions for the upcoming academic year at Queen's University. Whether you're a first-year student or preparing to graduate, there’s an opportunity to get involved, develop leadership skills, and help create a stronger Environmental Sciences community. Time Commitment
8 month-term from September 2024 to April 30th, 2025 with a time commitment of 3-4 hours/week.

Role and Responsibilities:
Year Representatives (4):
First Year Representative (1)
Second Year Representative (1)
Third Year Representative (1)
Fourth Year Representative (1)
- Act as a liaison between your class and the ENSC DSC.
- Publicize DSC events to peers and encourage participation.
- Gather feedback from your year to help improve events and initiatives.
Marketing Director (1):
- Manage the ENSC DSC’s online presence across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.).
- Create engaging and informative posts to promote events and initiatives.
- Develop marketing strategies to increase visibility and involvement.
Events Coordinators (3):
- Organize and execute events throughout the year, including speaker series, social gatherings, and academic panels.
- Collaborate with Logistics Coordinators to ensure event dates and sanctioning forms are submitted on time.
- Ensure events are well-attended, fun, and engaging for the ENSC community.
Director of Finance (1):
- Oversee and manage the ENSC DSC budget.
- File and track reimbursement requests for expenses.
- Ensure financial transparency and keep accurate records of all transactions.
Logistics Coordinators (2)
- Work closely with the Events Coordinators to submit necessary sanctioning forms and book venues for events.
- Ensure all logistics for events (space, equipment, etc.) are well organized and handled in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with university departments to secure approvals for events.
Sponsorships & Outreach Coordinator (1)
- Build partnerships with other Queen’s clubs and DSCs to cross-promote events and initiatives.
- Source sponsorships and prizes for events and competitions.
- Collaborate with external organizations for mutual promotional opportunities.
EDII Coordinator (Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Indigeneity) (1)
- Work with DSC members to ensure all events and promotions are inclusive and equitable.
- Advocate for EDII principles in all aspects of the DSC’s work.
- Develop initiatives and strategies that promote diversity and inclusivity within the ENSC community.
