AS537 - Housekeeper/Cook - Greenwich Village - British American Household Staffing

A busy family of five in Greenwich Village is seeking a fantastic full-time housekeeper/cook who is comfortable assisting with some childcare as well. The schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm, with flexibility for an occasionally earlier start or later end if one of the parents is traveling for work. The majority of this role is housekeeping, as all three of the children are in school full-time, but the hours from 3-5pm will often involve picking up the four-year-old at school (within walking distance) and taking her to the park or an activity. 

• Deep cleaning and daily tidying of a three bedroom apartment
• Family laundry
• Errands and stocking household supplies
• Grocery shopping 
• Meal preparation- simple family style cooking
• After-school childcare (accompanying children home from school or to the park or activities) 
• Occasionally watching children throughout the day if they are home from school

• Comfort in the kitchen and ability to follow a recipe
• Skilled at stain removal, experience in basic mending 
• Warm and kind- comfortable working around and with children
• Detail-oriented and proactive

• Flexibility for extra hours if needed 
• Willingness to occasionally travel to summer home 

• $40/hr. 
• Two weeks PTO and paid federal holidays
