Position Title: Asphalt Paver 

Location: McAllen, TX

Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Asphalt Paver to join our construction team. The Asphalt Paver will be responsible for operating paving equipment to apply asphalt to roads, driveways, parking lots, and other surfaces. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality. The Asphalt Paver will work closely with other team members, including laborers, operators, and supervisors, to ensure that projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operation of Paving Equipment:

   • Safely operate asphalt paving machines, including pavers, rollers, and screeds.
   • Adjust machine settings to control material flow and ensure an even surface.
   • Monitor the distribution of asphalt and make necessary adjustments for thickness, width, and texture.

2. Surface Preparation:

   • Assist in preparing the surface before asphalt application, including cleaning and leveling.
   • Coordinate with other team members to ensure the area is ready for paving.

3. Quality Control:

   • Continuously monitor the asphalt application to ensure compliance with project specifications.
   • Identify and correct any irregularities in the paving process to ensure a smooth, even surface.

4. Team Collaboration:

   • Work closely with laborers, equipment operators, and supervisors to coordinate tasks and ensure project timelines are met.
   • Communicate effectively with team members to address any issues or changes in project plans.

5. Maintenance and Safety:

   • Perform regular maintenance on paving equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
   • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
   • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor.

6. Documentation and Reporting:

   • Keep accurate records of work performed, including materials used and equipment hours.
   • Provide reports to the project supervisor as required.
