We are currently looking for an experienced Asphalt Paver Operator to join our team. This position involves the operation of a machine that spreads and levels hot mix asphalt on highways and streets by performing the following duties.
• Perform pre-shift inspection of machinery per Company Guidelines and manufacturers' specifications.
• Comply with operating safety rules and regulations.
• Fill in daily inspection reports.
• Coordinate with the mechanic to report any problem with the operation of the assigned equipment.
• May oil, grease or otherwise service and make necessary adjustments to equipment as needed.
• When not performing the above essential duties and responsibilities, may assist in other operations as designated by the supervisor.
Requirements
Here's What You'll Need:
• Must be committed to providing and promoting a safe work environment.
• Knowledge of asphalt paving best practices.
• Knowledge of compaction testing and temperature requirements
• Must display a courteous and professional attitude when dealing with co-workers and the public.
• The willingness to work extended hours with possible night and / or weekend work as well as overnights.
• Be punctual and dependable, be capable of lifting 50 pounds and work in the sun most of the day.
• A valid driver’s license and a valid hoisting license.
• High school diploma / equivalent.

Key Job Responsibilities: Work in an environment in compliance with all Brox safety policies and procedures Properly follow all company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment. Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and/or MSHA Communicate safety and equipment information to Plant Manager Participate in toolbox talks with co-workers and supervisors Display a professional and courteous attitude to customers, drivers, co-workers, supervisors, and the general public Acceptance of other responsibilities and duties as necessary Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent and valid driver’s license. Experience preferred but willing to train. Work Environment: Outdoor-in and out of vehicle. High elevations & confined spaces. Days, nights and/or weekends.
