Assc Patient Care Coord - Allmed Staffing Inc

A large manage healthcare organization is looking for Patient Care Coordinator for a 6 month Contract in the Lake Success, NY area.

Description:

Hours of operation are Monday - Friday from 7am-5pm. (hours will vary weekly between hours of operation.)

Role is to support the medical practice, providers and patients from an administrative stand point.

Responsibilities will include:
1. Checking Patients in and out through MyChart and EPIC
2. Collecting copays and balances
3. Inputting patient demographics, insurances and running eligibility for insurance to ensure accuracy
4. Answering and making outbound calls to make/ confirm appointments from patients and call center advocates, contact insurance companies to verify eligibility
5. Assisting to manage office and provider in-baskets
6. Loading and routing patient documents into the appropriate areas of their charts
7. Other administrative duties as needed

The candidate will rotate between 3 front desks, working alongside of 3/ 4 admin staff members.

The ideal candidate will be customer service centered who can work independently and as a team with the front desk team they are assigned for the day.

Ideally, the candidate will have medical reception experience and be able to multi-task and be competent on the computer.

This position does not require a professional license

The uniform is black/khaki pants and an client approved shirt
