Business Overview
Novanta designs, develops, and manufactures innovative beam steering solutions, including polygon and galvanometer optical scanning components, 2-axis and 3-axis scan heads, scanning sub-systems, high power scanning heads, and controlling hardware and software.
Summary
As an Assembler I, you will be responsible for assembling products according to specifications. You will also need to ensure that the quality control standards are met.
Primary Responsibilities
Reading and interpreting assembly instructions, blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
Assembling components or sub-assemblies using appropriate tools and following specific guidelines and procedures
Inspecting parts for defects or damage
Following safety protocols and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment
Maintaining a clean and organized work area
General Tasks
Maintain strict compliance with the quality, environmental and occupational health and safety regulations and implementation of the instructions of the quality, environmental management and/or occupational health and safety officer.
Required Experience, Education, Skills, Training and Competencies
Entry level Job. Typically, 0 to 1 years of experience in related flied. Requiring no or very limited related work experience.
Be able to read, interpret and work from technical drawings, specifications, technical manuals, and schematics
Be able to use hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers.
Be able to communicate effectively
Have experience in manufacturing or a desire to learn, along with consistent attention to detail
Following safety procedures and guidelines
