Assembler I at Manpower

Our client in the manufacturing industry is seeking a PDU Assembler to join their team. As a PDU Assembler I, you will be part of the production team supporting the assembly of Power Distribution Units (PDU). The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, be a team player, and have a desire to learn and grow within the organization.

Job Title: PDU Assembler

Location: Santa Ana, CA

Pay Range: $22.00 + $1.00 shift differential for 2nd shift assignment.

What's the Job?

• Timely and accurately build sub-assemblies and assemblies to customer specifications involving complex and repetitive wiring and mechanics for Power Distribution Units (PDU).
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to build sub-assemblies and assemblies.
• Use cranes to pick up, and move materials.
• Be responsible for visual inspections of material before and after assembly.
• Use various fixtures, gauges, hand tools and power tools to assemble, adjust, or repair product.
• Perform point to point wiring during the assembling of Power Distribution Units.
• Inspect completed assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards and making necessary adjustments when required in order to meet quality goals.
• Adhere to company, environmental, health, safety rules and regulations.
• Provide process and safety improvement ideas.
• Ensure machines and tools are properly calibrated and perform housekeeping duties as necessary using the principles of 5S+.

What's Needed?

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Experience in production, packaging or construction.
• Previous experience with standard operating procedures.
• Previous experience with product electrical assembly, maintenance and/or repair.
• Basic working knowledge and experience with computers.
