Description:
Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM(includes a 30-minute lunch break)
PPE: will provide safety eyewear. Worker must havesafety boots are required
Driving: Not required
Preferred Experience:Candidates with assembly experience and the ability to read and interpretdrawings are preferred.
POSITION SUMMARY: Performsrepetitive mechanical assembly involving sensitive or precise dexterousmovements to maintain pace and quality of assembly work.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES ANDTASKS: Follows all policies and guidelines regarding workplace safety andproduct quality.
Successfully completes allsite-specific training regarding safety and quality.
Receives components or itemsfor assembly and/or test in programmed sequence.
Assembles and/or testsmechanical or electrical components by means of sensitive hand and equipmentcoordination.
May assemble minor variationsof in-house standard products.
Follows clear assembly/testinstructions, e.g. color code, pvc thermal welding and thread taping.
Uses simple hand or powertools along with uncomplicated jigs and fixtures.
Completes requireddocumentation related to production.
Drives continuous improvementprocess and conducts daily housekeeping/5S audits to ensure continuousimprovement activities.
Reads and understands simplelayout and assembly drawings.
Maintains equipment and areain clean safe condition.
Take care of internal andexternal customer needs and expectations.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS-FORMALEDUCATION Required: High School Diploma or GED.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCERequired: Mechanical aptitude as evidenced by work experience, high school/techschool coursework, hobbies, etc.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must beable to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis.
Must be able to walk, write,and type on a frequent basis.
Must be able to lift and carryup to 50 pounds.
Must be able to climb anddescend stairs.
Must be able to bend, carry,reach, push, and pull on an occasional basis.
Must be able to communicateverbally and in writing.
May be exposed to varyingamounts of dust and dirt.
Work surfaces may includeconcrete.
Employee must be able tooperate a computer and communicate via telephone. 5-10 years experience
