ASSEMBLER - Spherion

Now hiring for assembler. Spherion in Sumter, SC currently has assembler opportunities available for 1st shift and 2nd shift to support our customer in Sumter, SC. Our switchboard assembler will be working a first shift or second shift with potential OT. The switchboard assembler will support our customer by assembling and installing internal components or wiring of a switchboard. Perks and Benefits

- Monday to Friday or Friday to Sunday schedules
- Temp to hire position
- Mandatory OT

Responsibilities:
- Assemble metal bus bars and other components of a switchboard and proactively identify missing components.
- Utilize various hand tools and a tape measure to accurately measure and install material
- Maintain expected progress of assignment and communicate problem areas or part shortages
- Responsible for quality, including visual inspections of material before and after assembly

Working hours: 5:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Skills:
- Self-driven and able to produce desired results with minimal direction
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, persuasive skills, and analytical problem solving skills
- Work with individuals and groups to effectively participate within team environment
- Willing to work flexible hours and overtime in support of business needs

Education:
High School

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
- 1 year manufacturing, operations, or technical experience in an industrial setting
- Must live within 50 miles of Sumter
- High School Diploma/GED
- Able to lift and carry up to 35lbs
