We are seeking skilled and versatile Assembly Technician Specialists to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in framing, plumbing, electrical, roofing, interior, and/or exterior work within modular construction environments. You will play a crucial role in the efficient assembly of modular units, ensuring high standards of craftsmanship, safety, and teamwork throughout the construction process.
Assembly Technician Specialists play a crucial role in the modular construction industry, where buildings are constructed in sections or modules off-site, in shops or warehouses, then delivered and assembled on-site. The Assembly Technician Specialist role includes tasks, duties, and responsibilities that contributes to a highly comprehensive position which translates to increased knowledge and skill set in multiple construction disciplines to promote career development.
Key Responsibilities
•Assemble modular units according to design specifications and project requirements. Tasks include framing, plumbing, electrical wiring, roofing, interior
finishing, and exterior work.
•Framing: Build and install walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs using wood, steel, or other materials.
•Plumbing: Install and connect pipes, fixtures, and water systems within modular units according to building codes and safety regulations.
•Electrical: Install wiring, outlets, switches, circuit breakers, and electrical panels as needed.
•Roofing: Install and inspect roof structures and materials such as shingles, metal, and waterproofing layers.
•Interior Finishing: Install drywall, insulation, flooring, cabinetry, doors, and windows with precision.
•Exterior Finishing: Perform tasks such as siding, painting, and weatherproofing, ensuring the exterior is aesthetically pleasing and functional.
•Quality Control: Conduct inspections throughout the build process to ensure compliance with industry standards and company specifications.
•Safety and Compliance: Adhere to OSHA safety standards and other local, state, or federal regulations related to construction.
•Collaboration: Work with other technicians, supervisors, and contractors to ensure timely project completion and efficient workflow.
•Troubleshooting: Identify issues during assembly and implement solutions to avoid delays or rework.
Qualifications
•Proven experience in modular construction or relevant construction fields.
•Expertise in one or more of the following areas: framing, plumbing, electrical, roofing, and/or interior/exterior finishing.
•Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans.
•Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
•Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in varying environmental conditions.
•Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
•Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Preferred Skills and Certifications
•Relevant trade certifications (e.g., Electrical, Plumbing, Roofing) are a plus.
•OSHA 10 or 30 certifications are preferred.
•Forklift or other equipment operation certifications are advantageous.
Work Environment
•Ability to work indoors and outdoors in a factory or shop setting and/or various on-site environments.
•Willingness to adhere to safety standards, wear protective gear, and work in potentially hazardous conditions.
