About the Job
The Assessor Clerk Recorder Department has a paid internship opportunity for a Tech Trainee.
Through this opportunity, the intern will obtain experience in an office setting working with a team and individually to provide excellent customer service. Further, the intern will process records requested by customers, listen and provide adequate information to customers, attend meetings and write notes, prepare reports, learn how to be flexible with last-minute changes, and how to properly communicate with peers, supervisors, and managers.
The in-person student internship position is in Blythe with a work week beginning at 7:45 - 5:15 Tuesdays and Thursdays. The selected candidate can anticipate the internship to consist of 18-20 hours per week.
EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Under supervision, assists and participates in the work performed by employees of a specific profession; through participation, receives supervised work experience in a specific professional vocation; and performs other related duties as required.
The intern will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Working independently in an office setting
- Provide customer service
- Issue vital records
- Copies of official records
- Clerk copies
- Process fictitious business names
- Process marriage licenses
- Perform civil ceremonies
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average: 2.5GPA required. Proof of most current unofficial/official transcript with cumulative GPA must be provided at time of application .
Education: Applicants must be currently enrolled/attending school at an accredited college or university in a Bachelor's degree program or preparing to transfer to a Bachelor's program during the entire duration of the internship.
Areas of Study : Public or Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Studies or similar
Minimum Qualifications:
- Knowledge of computers
- Good communication skills
- Multitasking skills
- Some customer service and phone skills
- Bilingual is preferred but not required
