Description
An opportunity has arisen to join the Asset Management Team at Cubico Sustainable Investments as an Asset Manager for Cubico USA. Reporting into the VP of Asset Management, this role has responsibility spanning across asset management, financial control, business development, risk analysis, project management.
Location: Austin Texas, USA.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for contract management, stakeholder engagement, offtake, and regulatory compliance. Assets performance, performance analysis, optimization implementation, technical and economical KPIs.
Responsibilities and duties will include
- Operations: Support US Asset Managers in managing the US 1GW solar and wind portfolio, with focus on:
- Monitoring the production and the status of US wind and solar assets.
- Tracking operational issues, also liaising with site operators and O&M providers.
- Carrying out site visits as required to evaluate the condition of our assets, the quality of works completed, working closely with contractors.
- Ensuring project maintenance schedule is delivered on time and budget.
- Data Analysis:
- Collection, interpretation, and presentation of data extracted from SCADA and fiscal meters in a summarised and concise manner.
- Report and escalate under-performances or technical issues to the wider asset management team.
- Calculate KPIs and support in performance valuation.
- Reporting & administration:
- Support the US Asset Management team in reporting activities.
- Ensure project files are up to date and update them as required.
- Commercial & financial:
- Liaise with financial team to track costs and revenues.
- Familiarise with individual project contracts and track key contractual elements.
- Provide support on budget and actual calculations.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Minimum Requirements
- Degree in Engineering or other hard science, Physics or similar.
- Proven experience within the renewable industry with experience of data (or other numerical) analysis.
- Ability to review and reassess priorities in response to changing situations and deadlines.
- Desire to self-develop and create organizational value.
- Strong analytical and organisational skills.
- Self-motivated.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills - fluent English.
Desired Requirements
- Previous experience in Asset Management or Operations.
- Awareness of Health and Safety requirements of an operational site
- Understanding of contracts (e.g. has negotiated contracts previously)
- Basic financial skills
