Assistant Administrator/Concierge
Highland Care Center, a 320 bed Skilled Nursing Facility is currently seeking a dedicated Assistant Administrator to join our staff. Responsibilities of the Assistant Administrator/Concierge:
- Work with the Corporate Admissions Director to assign residents rooms and beds.
- Ensure that the resident’s room is clean and orderly when resident arrives.
- Ensure special equipment and supplies are available.
- Ensure that residents havea TV remote, list of channels, and a working telephone.
- Work with the Dietary Department to identifyresidents’ favorite foods.
- Collaborate with Activities Department to identify resident’s favorite hobbies.
- Orient the new admission residents and their family members to the Facility.
- Provide the new resident welcome gifts, offer drinks and food, answer questions, make the resident’s family feelcomfortable and welcome.
- Inform residents and their family members that you are the point person to help with the transition, answer questions, solve problems, etc.
- Advise the resident that you will check in on them before you leave and first thing in the morning and every other day for the first few days to make sure everything is going well.
- Inform the Admissions Director, Administrator, or any other applicable department of any problems that new residents are having and help
- Communicate incoming admissions to all departments.
- Assist potential residents and their families by conducting tours of the Facility and answering questions regarding the Facility and admissions process.
- Provide residents with admission information packet (e.g., resident rights, notice of privacy practices, admissions contract, etc.).
Requirements of the Assistant Administrator/Concierge:
- Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must have experience working in a long term care facility.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as must be willing to handle residents, staff, and visitors, based on whatever maturity level at which they are currently functioning.
