Gpac has partnered with a leading company in the Ag industry who is seeking out a reliable Assistant Agronomy Operations Manager to join their team. The Assistant Agronomy Operations Manager will be the glue between the sales and operations team making sure that they remain organized and jumping in where needed on a day to day business. Assistant Agronomy Operations Manager Duties:
- Assist in managing the day-today operations of the facility to provide patrons with prompt, courteous and effective service while maintaining the efficiency necessary to achieve a maximum margin of profit.
- Supervise mixing, loading and dispatch.
- Manage facility assets including routine maintenance, facility and equipment replacement plans and driver equipment inspections.
- Manage location risk including compliance with regulations, safety and emergency response training and ongoing site inspections (DOT, Driver records, state chemist records)
- Manage selected ops team members through clear job assignment definition and explanation, training, and ongoing coaching.
- Help maintain inventories at levels to assure service with a minimum of delivery delays, yet maintain inventory turn goals.
- Assist in making crop protection and fertility recommendations using Agworld, field plans, mapping and record keeping.
- Assist in establishing and implement short-term goals and budgets that are consistent with long range plans for growth in operation, including facility, equipment, and personnel.
- Communicate with manager and utilize additional resources (other branch managers, credit, marketing, human resources, etc.) to maximize profitability.
- Help maintain inventories at levels to assure service with a minimum of delivery delays, yet maintain inventory turn goals
- Assist with sales actives, and handle tasks for assigned accounts
Assistant Agronomy Operations Manager Compensation:
- $55,000-$70,000 yearly DOE
- Full benefits package 401k plan
- End of year profit sharing
- Clothing allowance
Assistant Agronomy Operations Manager Qualifications:
- CCA preferred but not required
- Class A CDL, Category 1A applicator's license or willingness to obtain
- Team player mentality
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- B.S. in Crop Science or related field OR 3-5 years related experience preferred
