Description:The Department of Surgery at Emory School of Medicine is seeking a full-time, academic surgeon (new graduate to mid-career) to join the Acute Care Surgery Service at Grady Memorial Hospital. The candidate must be board certified or board eligible in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care, having completed a 2-year trauma and critical care fellowship. Grady Memorial Hospital is the only ACS-verified Level 1 Trauma Center in Atlanta with over 6,500 admissions annually. Clinical responsibilities include coverage of the Trauma Surgery, Emergency General Surgery and Surgical ICU services as well as teaching trainees at all levels and participating in clinical research and programmatic development. As a part of Emory School of Medicine and Grady Health System, there is opportunity for a broad spectrum of research opportunities access to a wide, multi-disciplinary network of collaborators for clinical care, community outreach and systems development.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Board Certified Surgeon with post-graduate training
- A valid, unrestricted medical license to practice medicine in the State of Georgia
- A controlled Substance Registration Drug Enforcement Administration Certificate
