The Graduate Clinical Site Director Endodontology is a full-time faculty member in the Division of Endodontology with all rights and responsibilities of School of Dentistry faculty.
This faculty appointee provides services in furtherance of the university's missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach, and public service. Specifically, the primary focus of the Graduate Clinical Site Director is to provide clinical leadership, management, and oversight for the Graduate Endodontic Clinic/Practice (GEC).

Function/Duties of Position:The Clinical Site Director works collaboratively with the Advanced Education Program Director in Endodontics, the Division Head, and the Offices of Academic and Clinical Systems to provide endodontic clinical experiences for Advanced Education students during the 24-month advanced training curriculum.
The Clinical Site Director is responsible for the implementation of the clinical curriculum, and the provision of strategic and day-to-day operations and oversight of the Graduate Endodontic Clinic. In the role of faculty, the member will participate in the academic and clinical education of dental students and advanced education students, specific and general scholarly activity, research and service.
This position reports to (supervisor): Interim Division Head, Endodontology; Karan J. Replogle, Acting Chair Endodontology
Position Duties:
- Distribution and coordination of cases with consideration to educational value and appropriate patient care amongst advanced education students
- Collaboration with Patient Support Services in the growth and management of the clinic referral base
- Coordination and scheduling of clinic coverage to include faculty vacations and absences in collaboration with the Program Director/Division Head
- Inventory maintainence of supplies and instruments
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators and metrics to measure effectiveness and efficiency
- Ensure compliance with clinical policies and procedures of the SOD
- Improve clinic flow, organization, utilization and productivity
- Introduce new technologies and techniques
- D.D.S. or D.M.D. from a CODA accredited school or equivalent
- Completion of advanced education program in Endodontics from a CODA accredited program
- Board Certification in Endodontics (preferred but not required)
- Ability to obtain an unrestricted Oregon Dental License or a Faculty License
- Nitrous oxide or minimal sedation certification preferred
- BLS Certificate issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Experience in management of a private practice in endodontics (preferred)
- Experience in teaching, research, service, patient care, and academic management, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills are preferred
