Hopewell Federal Credit Union has an immediate opening for an Assistant Branch Manager located at our Johnstown Branch in Johnstown, Ohio. In this highly visible role, you will pursue business relationships and work closely with key community business contacts to help grow membership and profitability by attending local community events and working closely with the local Chamber of Commerce. The Assistant Branch Manager will also help direct and coordinate the activities of personnel at a credit union office location, ensuring the branch meets organizational, financial, operational, service and growth plans.Responsibilities in the Assistant Branch Manager role:Monitors branch office operations to ensure that security procedures are being followed and that appropriate steps are taken to correct unsatisfactory conditions.Performs duties related to loan processing, certificates of deposit, and IRA's. Assists in opening new member accounts and with loan closings and disbursements.Promotes branch business development and seeks to broaden member base. Cross sells Credit Union products and services. Explains services to potential consumer and commercial account customers to generate additional business and to promote positive public relations.Assists subordinate personnel in balancing daily transactions; examine, evaluate, and process loan applications.Resolves account-related concerns with members.Evaluates all branch activities to ensure they are following established Credit Union policies, procedures, and objectives; recommends changes to management/supervisor.Manages branch office when Branch Manager is out of office. Assumes responsibility for the development of new business relationships within the local community. Pursue business relationships and working closely with key community business contacts to help grow membership and profitability by attending local community events and working closely with the local Chamber of Commerce.Become involved in events and organizations that maximize the Credit Union's presence and increase brand in the community.Develop and execute on-site presentations and member workshops to promote Credit Union membership and financial education.Maintains a wide variety of contacts both inside and outside the credit union, coordinating business development activities, promoting services, exchanging information, and representing the credit union at civic, trade functions, and professional organizations.Collaborate directly with Marketing/Business Development officer for marketing materials and presentations for business development meetings.Maintain monthly tracking paperwork for business development results and identify perspective pipeline for business relationships and community contacts.Education/Certification: Bachelor's Degree or four years relative equivalent and/or combination of education and experience in a related field.
