About the Role:
As a full time Purchasing Assistant at Viviano Flower Shop of St. Clair Shores, MI branch you will work directly with our management and Purchasing teams to support all purchasing functions. Your enthusiasm and expertise are a critical component of the Viviano brand. High levels of time management and creative thinking are all critical skills for this position.
Hours
- Full-time
- may include weekends, holidays, and overtime
Key Roles
- Confirm delivery of product
- Check product for quality and accuracy
- Negotiate with suppliers on price, shipping, and delivery time
- Order stocked materials to maintain inventory
- Verify invoices and issue payment
- Prepare reports
- Assist other departments as necessary
About You
- Have previous administrative/purchasing experience
- Relentlessly positive, engaged and committed
- Self-starter, “get-it-done” personality who will take initiative from day one
- Strong attention to details and pride of ownership with organization and product knowledge
- Able to give and receive constructive criticism, with a focus on continuous improvement
