Assistant Construction Manager at Brightland Homes Ltd.

Brightland Homes, LTD. is currently seeking an Assistant Construction Manager to work alongside a Brightland Homes Construction Manager in overseeing the operations of designated Brightland Homes communities.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

• Schedule, coordinate, supervise, and inspect the activities of subcontractors and vendors
• Walk and inspect construction sites daily to verify specifications and deadlines are met
• Learn the construction activities for each stage of construction per Brightland Homes' procedures
• Inspect all stages of construction on designated homes (stage punch)
• Help ensure homes are completed before the Homebuyer Orientation meeting and scheduled closing date
• Learn construction best practices such as organization, scheduling, material management, stage punch, negotiation, trade management, safety, quality control, and customer satisfaction
• Keep the Construction Manager informed of progress on any assigned tasks
• Gain knowledge of the scope of work for each major subcontractor
• Verify delivery of materials to construction sites; communicate delivery issues to the Construction Manager
• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
• Schedule municipal inspections as directed and interact with inspectors
• Assist in maintaining community, construction sites, inventory, and model homes to be sales presentation-ready

Qualifications:

• Workforce experience demonstrating a strong desire for success, organization, and leadership
• Provide quality customer service and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
• Basic knowledge of business management principles
• Willingness to work in a non-smoking environment
• Highly detailed and accurate
• Knowledgeable about the use of computers and computer software
• Current, valid driver's license and proof of current, auto liability insurance of at least the state-required minimum amount and an acceptable driving record

Qualifications Considered a Plus:

• Previous experience with a production homebuilder
• English and Spanish-speaking
• Familiarity with calendar or scheduling software
