Title: Assistant Controller
Salary: $80,000-$100,0000
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and mentor a team of 3 direct reports, providing guidance, feedback, and support in their professional development.
- Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll functions.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Coordinate and assist in the annual budgeting process, working closely with department managers to develop comprehensive financial plans.
- Monitor and maintain internal controls to safeguard the organization's assets and ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
- Collaborate with the Controller and senior management to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and serve as a primary point of contact for external auditors.
- Conduct periodic reviews of financial processes and systems to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and non-profit regulations, ensuring compliance and providing recommendations for implementation.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience in financial management or accounting.
- Prior experience supervising a team is required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.
