Summary The assistant controller will provide high level support to the controller by directing accounting operations and financial activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
Supervise and participate in the preparation of various financial statements and reports including timely monthly financial statements within 5 business days.
Direct the installation and maintenance of accounting records to verify receipts and expenditures.
Direct the maintenance of general ledger, revenue distribution, depreciation, cost, property and operating expenses and insurance records.
Direct and participate in cost and inventory analysis.
Prepare statements and reports of estimated future costs and revenues.
Establish system controls for new financial systems and develop procedures to improve existing systems.
Reconcile transactional activity of subsidiaries to maintain accurate inter-company records.
Coordinate preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting.
Prepare and submit various regulatory filings as required by regulatory agencies.
Review financial statements with and address accounting questions with Leadership Team.
Direct the installation and maintenance of new accounting, inventory, property and other related procedures and controls.
Assist in the development and implementation of the annual plan based upon the objectives defined by the Leadership Team.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (BS) with a concentration in Accounting from four-year college or university
Four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Skills/ Experience
- CPA
- MBA Degree
- SAP Experience
