About the Job
Responsibilities: Provide daily updates to company Controller,
Manage a small team of accounting professionals in the NY office
Provide daily oversight
Post Daily Transfers
Oversee all aspects of the quarterly and annual accounting close and financial reporting cycles - including balance sheet and income statement preparation for portfolio of properties
Responsible for financial statements for year-end tax returns,
Facilitate funding/ transfers
Assist with RE Tax Payments
Prepare/ post wire transfers
Review (and sometimes prepare) security deposit account bank reconciliations
Review (and sometimes prepare) bank statement reconciliations
Oversee Annual RPIE Reporting
Prepare cash reporting and cash forecasting
Maintain annual fixed asset schedules for building/tenant improvements
Calculate estimated and actual year end CAM & real estate tax
Prepare work papers to be used in conjunction with audit
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
6-8 years of relevant real estate accounting experience
3-5 years of experience managing a team
Ability to respond to requests for support and assistance in a prompt and professional manner
Strong time-management, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Proficient in Excel
Compensation & Benefits:
• $125,000-$150,000/year -- The approximate annual base salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include relevant job experience, level, experience within the industry, education, etc

the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
