Here's what you'll do:
- Prepare all monthly financial reports, manage the general ledger, and serve as a technical advisor for accessing accounting systems.
- Coordinate the annual budget process and work with external auditors during the year-end audit.
- Effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results on time.
- Collaborate with the regional controller on regional strategy, projects, acquisitions, and growth initiatives.
- Develop, implement, and maintain processes and procedures for accurate and timely financial data analysis.
- Develop and maintain internal control structures and procedures for financial reporting.
- Resolve complex financial reporting issues.
- Manage the audit process and work with external auditors on accounting and reporting matters.
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of internal reports, ensuring quality, reliability, and timeliness.
- Provide operational and technical accounting expertise to ensure adherence to GAAP, company policies, and regulations.
- Summarize findings on financial reports for senior management, auditors, and regulators.
- Lead and support future integration projects, lead the team through change, and participate in staff development.
You'll be successful if you have:
- 10+ years of experience in accounting with a progressive track record.
- At least 7 years of management/supervisory experience.
- Prior experience in the healthcare industry (1+ years).
- Strong computer skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other financial reporting tools.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting functions, including general ledger, cost accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Up-to-date understanding of GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles).
- Management expertise to guide and develop assigned staff.
