Job Summary and Qualifications
As the Assistant Controller, you will assist the Controller with all aspects of financial and reimbursement accounting.
- You will assist with preparation of weekly projections
- You will assist with the analysis of monthly financial statements during and immediately after the close process
- You will prepare accurate and timely financial reports as requested
- You will assist with performance preparation for new business development projects
- You will prepare standard monthly accrual and month end reports in coordination with the Controller
- You will assist in establishing control systems for identifying and investigating significant financial statement fluctuations from month to month, and ensure that fluctuations are understood and errors are corrected
- You will assist with conducting balance sheet reviews during month end close to ensure the balance sheet is reported in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and company policy
- You will assist with the preparation and review of the semi-annual internal control checklist
- You will prepare the quarterly SOX access reports to ensure compliance
- You will monitor capital spend by preparing monthly reports for the executive team
- You will assist with the development and analysis of annual operating budgets
- You will assist with reviews of the departmental operation reports, labor management, and any other financial inquiries or assistance needed
- You will assist with accounts payable issues when needed, and review purchase card statements monthly from each holder
What qualifications you will need:
Experience:
- 5 years of accounting experience and management/supervisory experience
- Familiarity with accounts payable and payroll
- Healthcare experience - preferred
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration
- Master's degree - preferred
Licenses and Certifications:
- Certified Public Accountant - preferred
