Assistant Dietary Manager

POSITION PURPOSE:

Responsible for providing an excellent dining experience for all residents and meeting their dietary requirements. Assist Dietary Manager with directing department staff to prepare meals, food orders and on-going training.

Essential functions of position:

• Run day to day operations of the kitchen and dining
• Ensure food quality, and safety standards are satisfactory
• Meet regulatory standards and survey excellence
• Maintain proper scheduling, supplies and cleanliness in the dietary department
•  Work with Qualified Dietitian, and facility to ensure all therapeutically/ preferences are received
•  Review Menus and food storage
• Supervise and participation in food service, including but not limited to; food preparation, food storage and cooking
• Participate in facility QA, Care Plan and leadership of facility
• Rotating weekends

EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:

• 1-3 years supervisory/managerial experience
• 1 year in Long Term Care (Preferred)
• Certified Dietary Manager preferred
