Position Summary
Direct human resources-related faculty and research activities for NYU Dentistry, including employee relations, recruitment, compensation, and the daily operations. Serves as a highly confidential resource, maintaining the highest levels of care, discretion, sound judgement, credibility and expertise in the field of human resources. Direct the administration of faculty services, including the development and implementation of policies and procedures that govern Dentistry (e.g., faculty records, faculty hiring, and faculty appointment functions). Oversee the Colleges' hiring, tenure and promotion processing, sabbatical/leaves, and immigration administration for faculty and research staff; work with Deans, Chairpersons, and P.G. Directors related to faculty recruitment and faculty services. Maintain HR service quality and application of university HR policies, employment laws, and procedures. Identify and surface important issues to leadership that can help to improve overall HR in the College and the University.Qualifications
Required Education:Bachelor's DegreePreferred Education:Master's Degree Human ResourcesRequired Experience:7+ years Progressively broader faculty affairs or human resources experience with significant recruiting and employee relations experience.Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Ability to logically examine and interpret information from different sources to develop a course of action. Demonstrated problem solving skills. Demonstrates the ability to communicate information clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.Additional Information
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $115,000.00 to USD $135,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
