What You'll Do::The Assistant Director of Enrollment Services is responsible for assisting the Executive Director of Enrollment Services in the management, training, review, and overall performance of the team of admission advisors. Additionally, this position supports the enrollment efforts of Arizona College by providing admissions information to prospective or newly admitted students and creating communication materials. This position represents the College to prospective and newly admitted students through numerous interactions, both face-to-face and virtually. The executive admission colleague resolves most enrollment questions and problems and makes recommendations on complex issues to higher levels.
Essential responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management
- Lead and inspire the admissions team to achieve key outcomes, including exceptional customer service, enrollment growth, conversion metrics, and student persistence.
- Hire, supervise, and develop a team through huddles, 1:1s, performance management and developmental opportunities.
- Student Engagement and Communication
- Collaborate closely with the Executive Director of Enrollment Services and Director of Financial Aid to achieve campus goals and enhance enrollment percentages.
- Welcome, engage, offer guidance to, and follow-up with prospective students through interviews, campus tours, emails, phone calls, and other communication content.
- Compliance and Data
- Ensure adherence to all compliance and regulatory standards in the enrollment process.
- Maintain student database, ensuring accuracy for local, state, and federal reporting purposes.
- Maintain and provide appropriate data for reporting, institutional research, and institutional effectiveness.
- Professional Development
- Complete and document a minimum of 12 hours of continuing education annually.
- Develop and update an individual development plan, tracking progress quarterly.
- Complete the admission leadership program or bring equivalent leadership experience.

Knowledge/Experience Required
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience preferred.
- 3+ year of experience in Higher Education admissions.
- Knowledge of college admissions procedures and of student recruitment and retention issues.
Skills/Abilities Required
- High degree of professionalism and discretion dealing with confidential information.
- Exceptional ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task in an extremely dynamic environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals in a diverse community.
- Skilled in the use of computerized systems and databases.
- Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals.
