Assistant Director of Admissions - Vantage Point Behavioral Health

SCHEDULE: 3pm-11pm Monday - Friday, on call every other week

PURPOSESTATEMENT:

Assist the Director of thefacility in admissionsactivitiesbydrivingtheadmissionsprocess,developing,implementingandmaintainingrevenue-generatingstrategies.

 Essential Functions: 

• ProvideleadershiptotheAdmissionsDepartmentandcultivatethefunctionofthedepartmentasanintegratedteam.
• Assist in Implementingthestrategicplanofthebusinessdevelopmentandmarketingdepartmentasitpertainstoadmissiontothefacilityanddirectpotentialclientstotreatment.
• Provideleadershipinaddressingqualitymanagementissuesrelatedtocrisistriage,evaluation,intakeandadmissiontothefacility.
• Assign/distributescheduledevaluations,intakeoradmissionsasdictatedbyrequestandhospitalcensus.
• Conductqualityassuranceandqualityimprovementprogramsforallcrisistriage,evaluation,intakeandadmissionservices.
• Performfollow-upcommunicationfunctionsandgeneraterecommendationsfororganizationleadership.
• Developandimplementprogrampoliciesandproceduresthatguidetheprovisionofservices.Assist in thehiringdecisionsforAdmissionsDepartmentpersonnel,provideorientation,in-serviceandcontinuingeducationprogramsfordepartmentstaffandotherinternalpositionsresponsibleforcrisistriageand/orevaluationservices.
• Serveasclinicalliaisonwithreferralsources.
• Worktoimproveefficiencyandqualityindeliveringserviceswithinthedepartment,responsiblefordevelopingandmeetingdepartmentalgoalsandobjectives.
• Ensure and assist thatdepartmentisuptodateonandcompliantwithnewlawsandregulations.Recruit,trainandsupervisestaff.
• Work with the Director in managingthefinancesofthedepartment,prepareandmonitorbudgetsandspendingtoensuredepartmentoperateswithinallocatedfunds.
• Determineandimplementadmissionsbest-practices,promotethehospitalandmaintainasatisfiedpatientbase.

 Other Functions: 

• Performotherfunctionsandtasksasassigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLREQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’sDegree,counselorcertification,ornursinglicenserequired;Sixplusyears’experiencehealthcarerelatedadmissionswithBachelors.
• Master’sDegreeinHumanServicesFieldpreferredwiththreeplusyears’experiencehealthcarerelatedadmissions,CACorCADCwithaminimumofthreeyearsinthesubstanceabusetreatmentfield.
• Two- three yearsofworkexperiencein Management/Supervisor ofAdmissionsinasubstanceabusetreatmentfacilitypreferred.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

• MayrequireLCSW,LMHCbythestateforthispositionorCAC/CADC,whererequired.
• CPRandde-escalation/restraintcertificationrequired(trainingavailableuponhireandofferedbyfacility).
• Firstaidmayberequiredbasedonstateorfacility.
