Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health New York provides programs and services for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and dual diagnoses. Located in Kingston, NY, this position assists the Director of Community Services with the overall supervision of all community services programs. They will offer assistance, direction, and support to the community supervisory group, and will provide direction regarding regulatory oversight. The Assistant Director will assist in staff recruitment and meet established PO targets for the programs under his/her direction, including: staff turnover; staffing levels; one-to-one staffing requirements; staff overtime and timely evaluations. This position will ensure that all fiscal policies are adhered to in the programs under his/her direction, including: house budgets; residents’ personal spending accounts; house petty cash funds; and all other related fiscal matters. The Assistant Director will provide supervision to assigned staff in accordance with Devereux New York Policy, including individual scheduled bi-weekly sessions. They will also address parent/legal guardian issues in cooperation with the Residence Managers and/or Dayhab Director. They will ensure that each program manager maintains and implements a weekly schedule that ensures appropriate active programming each day, and documents participants’ involvement in accordance with policies and procedures. The Assistant Director of Community Services will ensure compliance with all NYS OPWDD Medicaid Waiver policies and procedures with regard to Res Hab Dayhab services and will act as back-up and temporary replacement for the Director of Community Services, if needed.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree required.
Experience: Minimum of three years of experience in a comparable residential and/or day treatment program, all of which shall be in a supervisory capacity. Strong interpersonal skills required. Must be able to get along with diverse personalities. Must handle detailed, complex concepts and problems and make rapid decisions.
