Position Summary:
To assist in ensuring that all the facilities at Big Cedar are maintained to the highest level. Direct the installation and repair of all electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and architectural systems throughout the facility to insure safety and efficiency. Directs Engineering staff, and responds to needed emergency situations.
Essential Functions:
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position will be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.
Plan, manage and deliver efficient, cost effective and customer oriented building service and property management, utilizing in-house and contracted staff, as necessary.
Develop and oversee corrective, preventative maintenance programs.
Administer policies and procedures ensuring effective departmental performance.
Perform facility functions in compliance with applicable regulations and protect staff health, safety, security and work like quality, and the environment.
Plan and manage facility & grounds projects defining scope, plans, obtaining approvals identifying and securing resources and evaluating project results.
Manage and support emergency preparedness developing specific plans and procedures, providing staff training and ensure systems and procedures are tested.
Provide pricing for materials/parts and other supplies onto the work orders
Administer the acquisition, distribution and use of tools, equipment and supplies.
Assist with warranty issues on equipment and service provided.
Maintain a good PM program for rooms, common areas, equipment, etc.
Assist in developing departmental capital and expense budgets including all appropriate elements, historical data and projected changes in business practices or current arrangements. Periodically track accuracy of expenses charged to the appropriate code.
Assist the Director of Engineering conduct weekly Departmental Safety meetings.
Assumes responsibilities of other managers and supervisors in their absences.
Provide superior service to our customers (internal and external) at all times. Follow the Resort Etiquette Guidelines while interacting with the guests and respond to all guests in a courteous, efficient manner.
Negotiate third party contracts and ensure compliance to specifications and terms.
Provide leadership articulating vision and objectives, promoting trust and respect, and employing strategies that create committed and motivated staff.
Extended hours during emergency situation may be required.

Candidate Profile:
Education and Experience
2 years experience in the Engineering industry.
Hospitality Engineering experience preferred
4 year degree in a related field preferred
