About the Job
Ability Matters is expanding and we are looking for an individual to create our Remote Monitoring Services Department. This position works at our Corporate Offices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create, supervise, and support the remote monitoring team.
- Develop and implement remote monitoring protocols and procedures.
- Ensure services are delivered with integrity, compassion, and innovation.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate remote monitoring with other services.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of remote monitoring systems.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Health Services, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within remote monitoring or technology services.
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of remote monitoring systems.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to the mission and values of Ability Matters.
- Ability to think critically and creatively.
- Ability to take initiative and follow through on tasks.
- Possess and maintain First Aid and CPR training (or willing to obtain).
- Pass and maintain all required Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) training offerings.
- Pass a background check.
- Pass a drug test.
- Possess and maintain a driving record with fewer than six (6) points.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Directly supervise employees.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
- Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
- Ability to assist consumers with physical difficulties.
- Ability to kneel, sit, stand, crawl, push, and pull to assist consumers throughout the day.
- Prolonged periods standing and walking within the community and other activities.
Environmental Conditions:
- Some work in air-conditioned buildings.
- Exposure to weather extremes.
- Ability to tolerate varying noise levels.
- Exposure to anti-social behavior.
- Exposure to bodily fluids.
- Ability to tolerate stressful situations.
