Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) - Cascades at Orchard Park

Hello! Cascades at Orchard Park in Orem, UT is hiring a full-time Assistant Director of Nursing. The Assistant Director of Nursing will assist the Director of Nursing in various duties (detailed below) as well as cover 1 to 2 shifts on the floor each week. Our goal in this Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) is to provide each patient with top-quality care. Striving to maximize each patient's functional independence and discharge him/her to the next level of care.

***Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility is required for this position.

Job Description:

Assist the Director of Nursing with:

• Active management of clinical systems
• Nursing staff scheduling, interviewing, hiring/firing
• Team building, morale building, motivating the clinical team to provide the finest patient care
• Assist with development/maintenance of nursing programs and activities
• Complete medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charts, etc.
• Any additional functions as directed by the DON
• Expertly assess nursing home residents' needs, and coordinating personalized, resident-driven care based on those assessments
• Oversee the patient assessment process, setting assessment schedules and assuring that assessments are done in an accurate and timely manner

Requirements:

• Minimum: Associates degree. Bachelor's degree preferred
• RN or LPN license in good standing
• Minimum one year of successful nursing leadership experience in a long-term care facility preferred
• Minimum two years' skilled nursing facility nursing experience required
• Must show ability to read and write in a legible and understandable manner
• Must speak and understand English
