Assistant Director of Nursing/Staff Educator - Nursing Home

Located in the Bronx, NY

Salary: $130K to $140K range (based on experience)

Qualifications:

• Must have New York RN license
• Must have at least two to three years’ experience in a long term care facility in Nursing Administration
• Must have BSN
• Must have previous experiences in-service education
• Has knowledge of CDC guidelines as related to infection control, as well as O.S.H.A requirements

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Risk management-A/I, PT Investigation, etc.
• Prepares annual calendar and master schedule of mandatory and other pertinent In-service programs. Submits copy to Administrator, Assistant Administrator, Director of Nursing and HR Coordinator.
• Schedules, conducts and arranges mandatory and other in-services for all staff.
• Prepares the monthly In-service calendars and
• distributes them to all departments.
• Keeps abreast of and recommends training resources to departments participating in Training programs.
• In conjunction with H.R. Coordinator and Department Heads conducts and/or arranges facility orientation for all new employees. Conducts orientation for Nursing Personnel.
• Managing clinical operations and developing care plans.
• Ensuring nursing staff follows departmental procedures and policies.
• Conducting patient rounds and addressing complaints.
• Scheduling staff meetings for patient u1idates, issues, and recommendations.
• Ensuring compliance with state, federal, and local standards.
