The Phoenix Center for Rehab & Pediatrics is a skilled nursing facility located in Haskell, NJ caring for both the pediatric and geriatric populations. We are looking for a dedicated, compassionate, and energetic Assistant Director of Nursing for the geriatric units.
The ADON will work closely with the Director of Nursing to maintain the highest standards of care and service for residents, families, and our employees. The Assistant Director of Nursing will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Assist the DON in the management of the nursing department to ensure quality standards of care
- Assist in establishing departmental goals and objectives
- Ensure effective communication strategies with all levels of nursing staff to promote effective care delivery
- Monitor each unit and communicate policies, evaluate performance, provide feedback, and discipline as needed
- Conduct daily rounds to evaluate resident care, the progress of individual employees, monitors nursing practices and assists personnel with nursing and educational needs
- Participate in internal audit of nursing practice and in the plan of correction when deficits are identified
- Ensure that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals' needs and rights
- May exercise direction over the department in the absence of the Director of Nursing
Position Requirements:
- A minimum of one year of long-term or acute health care experience preferred
- At least 2 years nursing supervisory experience required
- Currently licensed as RN in New Jersey
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
